I am now operating under my name instead of LDP. Just shorter and easier. :)
I will no longer blog here. I will still read of course, but will be writing over on my site now. Stop by and say hi!
This first picture really describes their relationship:
I have been so behind with this blog. :( We're currently working on some blog updates, so keep an eye out for it. :D
So couple weekends ago, we finally got to shoot our very first officially booked wedding! It was a super sweet event. Jen & Eugene got married in beautiful Hawaii, and had their reception at The Reef in Long Beach. This event was referred to us & coordinated by the awesome Jill of Jordan Events Studio. Everything looked superb & not a single detail was missed!
I love these shots of Jen alone...
Last Saturday, we headed over to Venice beach for some bike riding and to see the sunset. In the beginning of their relationship, Lisa & Khai spent their past times riding bikes. They even did a 30 mile bike ride! O_o So naturally, they wanted to have some reminiscent biking photos for their engagement session. Unfortunately, the bikes had no baskets, so their furbaby, lightning, was not able to join us. I hope to meet him someday!
I'm not a movie person. We go to the theater maybe once a year, if even. Janet convinced me to go watch The Hammer on Friday and I'm so glad I did! The movie was awesome! Humorous, witty, and I love the story line.
Adam Corolla did a Q&A session after. What a deal! A movie & standup comedy! He talked about everything from Love Line to his radio show to the movie to dancing with the stars. He's doing a Paso Doble tomorrow and will be dressed like Zoro. Should be fun!
He didn't look tall from a far, but I was probably up to his armpits... then again, I'm also not very tall. :P I always joke about my big head, but he makes me look small!
So we bought a vacation ownership (aka timeshare) before we got married. They gave us 2 trips to Hawaii with it, so we have not used any of our points. Now that I have so few vacation, we've decided to really utilize my summers & winters off.
We put ourselves on the waitlist for a week in Whistler, starting opening day. Can't wait! :) We should be able to get in. Crazy how quickly Whistler fills up.
We also put ourselves on the waitlist for this resort in Cancun for July 2009.
Can't wait! We're still figuring out how this RCI exchange stuff works, but they said we should get a spot. There are currently no vacancies b/c it's so far ahead that those RCI owners have not banked their points yet.
We had SUCH a fun session with Julie & Ricky. I don't even know where to begin sharing! I guess I'll just start off in the order taken...
Yes, we pushed that cart all around campus the entire day. lol.
Stopped by UCI's school of management building for this checkered wall.
Jumping around on ring road.
The main steps by admin.
Then they changed into their traditional Vietnamese outfit... well, mostly traditional.
Ricky's kung foo skills.
I love the glow!
...mostly traditional.
Then Julie changed into her wedding dress. Love her pink skull laces!
We then switched from goofy to romantic mode at the Arts bridge.
I <3 our new 5d! I SEE things differently with it!
They have so much fun together!
And I leave you with another fun shopping cart picture. :)
Julie & Ricky are such a blast to hang out with! We were so fortunate to photograph their engagement party and their engagement photo session this past weekend. It was SO much fun! It's late and I should sleep; I've been falling asleep at work this week. :( darn time change! I'll upload more tomorrow, but for now, I leave you with 3.
I'll post some really funny/goofy ones in the next few days. Stay tuned!
Congrats, Julie & Ricky! Can't wait to photograph your wedding this May!
Michael told Paula that they were just going on a casual photoshoot to help us build our portfolio. What Paula didn't know was that Michael was planning to pop the loooooong awaited question while we document it! I made a story book for them. :)
It was so cute watching him nervously finding the perfect location and even cuter watching her realize what's happening. The best part was watching her putting the pieces of the surprise together throughout the rest of the day.
Congrats to Michael & Paula on their engagement! Can't wait for the big day!
